You've got insurance.. so what now? ​

From time to time things can go wrong, and if you're involved in an unexpected accident, disaster or other loss that is covered by your insurance policy, you can make a claim with your insurer. 

The policy you buy is a promise of assistance when things go wrong, provided you fall within the policy’s terms and conditions. You then need to lodge a claim to activate the insurer’s response.

In the Event of a Claim

Call us within 24 hours of the incident on 1300 886 750 during business hours or contact your About Risk account manager directly. 
Being there for our clients at the time of a claim is probably the most important role we can play.​

The claims process can be long and complex, but we work closely with our clients and insurer partners to make this process as efficient and seamless as possible for our clients. This works towards getting our clients back in business and on the road sooner! 

At About Risk, we're with you every step of the way through the claims process, from lodgement of the claim, monitoring progress and negotiating with our insurer partners to ensure the best possible outcome for our clients, we ensure our clients are appropriately supported 24/7, 365 days a year.
In the event of a claim, we will also:

  • Assist our clients in lodging claims and maintain communication every step of the way
  • Advocate and negotiate with insurers on behalf of our client to ensure they receive their full entitlements
  • Arrange for a loss assessor to be appointed where required
  • Arrange expert consultants including legal and accounting services where needed
  • Arrange access to Risk Management services to assist in prevention or mitigation against future loss
